Athletic Spectator Policy Update

 


Dear Kennedy Families-

Not so long ago, our prayers were united for our students. "Please let them be able to go to school." "Please let them have a sports season." "Please let us watch them play."

How lucky we are that so far, our prayers have been answered. While there are certainly challenges to making all this happen, the Kennedy administration, faculty, support staff, and athletic department has risen to the call to serve our students to help facilitate these opportunities.

Our initial spectator policy was a more liberal interpretation of the Ohio Dept. of Health order; after hearing the Governor's remarks and being in contact with ODH, Trumbull County Dept of Health, and Warren City Schools administration, we have dialed back our spectator policy for home football games to be more in line with those interpretations. In summary, here are the three major changes:

  • Students may not buy individual tickets. (Students may only attend if they are family of a player or participant included in the designated family tickets)
  • Staff may not purchase tickets unless part of game day staff, including stadium management.
  • Football players and cheerleaders still may purchase 4 family tickets; families of seniors may purchase an additional set of 4 tickets with the restriction those 4 tickets are for one family unit that can sit in one set of 4 seats. (Bleachers are marked in sets of 4- so those 4 extra tickets can only use up one section). 

Everyone wants to see our Eagles play! I know it is hard to limit family and friends, and it breaks my heart knowing all our fans cannot come. However, YSN will be live streaming video and audio for $9.99. Also, I look back at the first week of June, when I met with coaches and families on Zoom to talk about "if" we were going to get a season or a school year...and here we are! It feels like so long ago, but the months since then have been packed with a lot of hard work from a lot of people who care about our Eagles.

Tickets are on sale today (enter by gym) 10 am to 12 pm or 5 pm to 7pm. $6 per ticket, cash and correct change only. (Only families of players and cheerleaders).

Good morning Kennedy Family. It is with joy that I address you, the graduating class of 2023. School Start Eve

There's a certain electricity in the air at Upper Campus. It's the anticipation of students starting school.  My favorite holiday is Christmas Eve. The anticipation of Christmas morning is palpable. From the time I was a kid, waiting to see what was under the tree to today as a mom, hoping my girls are excited for the gifts I carefully selected--the anticipation is better than the actual celebration.  Tomorrow will be better than today, because I will actually see my "kids." It’s Fiddlesticks show week, which has got me all musical and sentimental.  It’s senior Mass week. It’s final WJFK episode. Its seniors last full week of school.
